Atari awaiting approval on bankruptcy financing

Atari has sourced $5 million in debtor-in-possession financing from Perella Weinberg Partners, which would allow it to operate through bankruptcy, Polygon reports. Perella plans to assist Atari in selling off its assets, but this role and its offer of finance must be approved by a court. Atari is apparently already in possession of $2 million and would receive the remaining $3 million if approved. Atari filed for bankruptcy late last month.
