Skullgirls PC "in final stages" of negotiation for funding

Skullgirls publisher Autumn Games is "in the final stages of signing an agreement" with Marvellous to fund a PC port of the 2D fighter.

In a new blog post, Lab Zero Games said Marvellous has agreed to fund an expanded port with multiplayer support like lobbies rather than a quick console knock-off.

The port's future looked uncertain after original developer Reverge Labs laid off the entire Skullgirls team. The crew reformed as Lab Zero Games and publisher Autumn Games was happy to put the new studio to work supporting the game, but was beset by troubles of its own.

Lab Zero has said a sequel is on the cards but DLC is unlikely.
