HMV staff cut by 190, those affected take to company's Twitter to voice frustration 

HMV staff has been cut by 190, which in turn caused a few affected to go rogue and hack into the retailers Twitter account.

Among those affected are the firm's head of technology and games Ewan Pinder, along with CFO Ian Kenyon. Tablet and PC buyers were also let go, but the game sector "remains largely intact," according to MCV.

Administrator Deloitte will announce further store closures today.

Some of the employees decided to log into the HMV Twitter account to voice their displeasure, with one tweet comparing the redundancies to a "mass execution."

The tweets were removed, but MCV took screens of each of them for posterity.
