ArmA Tactics announced for Nvidia Tegra devices, coming Q2 2013

ArmA 3 developer Bohemia Interactive has announced ArmA Tactics, a new turn-based title for Nvidia Tegra devices that will launch during Q2 2013.

The game’s official synopsis – over on the Nvidia site – comes alongside a shot of the title running on the Tegra-4 powered Project Shield console.

It reads, “Take control of a four-member Special Forces team in this turn-based, close-combat strategy game. With an open-world storyline, it’s up to you to decide how to play through your missions and objectives. Whether facing skilled mercenaries or disorganised local militia, your strategy is the only thing that will get you through hours of intense ever-changing action.”

Bohemia also published a small statement to say that the game will boast motion-capture, thanks to the clout of Tegra devices.

The statement reads, “At the heart of the console, Tegra 4 SoC has 72 GPU cores and 4 CPU cores and its raw computing power easily surpasses many current notebooks.provides hours of gameplay on batteries because of its energy efficiency: truly portable gaming experience comparable to current gen desktop consoles!

“This is, in our opinion, clear proof that mobile games are no longer simple puzzles, many of them challenge desktop console quality projects and can allocate budget for full body motion capturing.”

ArmA tactics? Now that is interesting.

At least someone supporting the console with games that are suited for a handheld device. It’s turn-based and ArmA on TEGRA 4 microprocessor.

Interesting. I want to see more of it (on other Tegra 4 devices too)
