Ouya control pad redesigned with cross-like D-pad

A new developer blog from the Ouya team shows off changes to the Android-based console's control pad. The most obvious change is to the D-pad, which now boasts a distinct, raised cross rather than being flatter and more disc-like. The analog sticks have been made more rubbery, the touch pad will be more sensitive, the triggers are being overhuled and the battery will soon be less likely to fall out mid-game. Ouya was Kickstarted in August to the tune of $8 million, and its first dev kits began shipping in December.
