3DS save data transfer tool announced for Japan

A 3DS data transfer tool will be released in Japan next month, according to a video featuring Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.

The tool will allow those to transfer game data from from the retail cartridges onto their 3DS, should they decide to pick up the digital version. Or for any other reason they wish, we reckon.

You can watch the video below, but it's in Japanese without subtitles.

No word on when the new 3DS tool will be made available in the west.

Thanks, Nintendo Life.
