League of Legends Mac client available to PBE players, open beta test inbound

League of Legends developer Riot Games has published its long-awaited Mac client on the game's Public Beta Environment today, giving players the chance to help the studio iron out bugs ahead of the full Mac open beta.

Over on the League of Legends boards, associate producer Steve Mieczkowski confirmed that the Mac PBE client is available now - you can grab it here if you like.

The post adds that Riot Games has worked hard to ensure that both the Mac and PC builds of League of Legends share the same code base, a decision that will allow the studio to push out game updates on both platforms simultaneously. This applies to big feature extensions and small bug fixes.

Mieczkowski confirms that the Mac PBE client will help Riot Games identify bugs and will inform them of how to get the Mac version ready for a full open beta. He closed in thanking the Mac community for its "extraordinary patience". Lovely chap.

Let us know if you take the Mac version for a spin.

Thanks PCGamesN.
