Splinter Cell: Blacklist PC players won't have to wait

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will release on PC at the same time as it hits consoles, Ubisoft has promised.

The stealth-'em-up was recently delayed into August from an expected northern spring launch.

"The August 20 date is also for the PC version as well," an Ubisoft representative told Rock Paper Shotgun.

Ubisoft has acquired something of a poor reputation among PC gamers in recent years, with late, missing or criticised ports and unpopular DRM choices, but now seems to be gaining some ground back with more timely and better quality releases and the substitution of UPlay for always-on DRM.

Blacklist is also coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
