Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo hits XBL
The demo fro Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is now available through Xbox Live for Gold members. Those who are not Gold members, only need to wait until tomorrow – the you will get your taste. PS3 users will also be able to download the trial tomorrow via the usual PSN update. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance hits PS3 and Xbox 360 February 19 in the US and February 22 in Europe.

Just playing the 360 demo now.
Absolutely awesome, I’ve never played Metal Gear so I think; if your a fan, you’ll love it even more.
Combat is amazing.
Makes DMC look like an absolute piece of shit all round which is a nice bonus.

The demo is nice, but it’s not a day one must have for me. I’ll wait with it. I really like how u can slice up pretty much anything and the framerate is really good too.

Not sold to be honest. Gonna play a couple of more times to have a little play about but Raiden is pretty stiff when not in Ninja run.
Although the parrying is satisfying as hell. The instructional image is terrible, you need to point the stick in the direction of the incoming attack and hit X, the image makes it look like you should push down the stick and hit X instead.
Killed the boss first try once I got parrying down. Great little fight that was, Zandatsu’d a moo cow and got my health back.

The first complaint i heard about this game were the controls and it still doesn’t seem to have changed. This isn’t good. :/

I couldn’t beat that boss fight. But then….i kept going at him with Y and i obviously didn’t parry enough, so there’s my mistake. I did however got to the part where he jumps out of the area and soldiers come in, great for getting health back. But the dog boss still owned me..he does some fierce attacks, wow.

Just had a blast at this myself. It’s definitely a lot of fun, the combat is nice and fluid and chopping everything to pieces is a cool feature. However, it just feels like it’s missing something. I’m probably going to get ranted at for this, but I actually prefer Devil May Cry at the moment, from an aesthetic point of view.
That said, I have played 7/8 missions in dmc, so I do have a broader perspective on it. Still definitely looking forward to MGS:RR though, I’m sure the full game will be awesome!

Was a bit disappointed this was just the Z.O.E. HD demo, but then again, a different demo might have spoiled some stuff for the game.
Absolutely loved and am very much looking forward to it. Only problem is that I’ve been playing God of War recently, so I kept trying to use the right stick to dodge, but that’s my own fault.
I especially loved the dog boss. Kicked my ass the first few times, since I hadn’t bothered getting good at parrying. Once you do, damn, is that battle ever satisfying.
Cannot wait for this. Only thing I hope is improved in the final game is that the music is a bit underwhelming.
