Blizzard All-Stars: "We're actively working on it", says Blizzard

Blizzard All-Stars is the developer's take on the MOBA genre. It was first revealed back in 2010 but aside from a recently leaked MOBA map called 'Defense of the Alehouse' being discovered within the World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, the studio has stayed silent on the issue, until now. It's being "actively worked on" right now, according to Blizzard.

Speaking with Eurogamer, StarCraft 2 production director Chris Sigaty stated, "We're actively working on it. That I can confirm. A lot of the stuff that's remaining right now that we need to focus on are the systems necessary to pull off a game with a different business model than StarCraft 2.

"StarCraft 2 is a box. We intend to do something different with the business model in Blizzard All-Stars, something more closely resembling the other types of games in that genre, the MOBA-style games that are out there today, and being able to sell smaller amounts of things to players, the things they want."

Once ready, Blizzard All-Stars will take on the darlings of the MOBA circuit, namely League of Legends and Dota 2. WIll it have a fighting chance? Let us know what you think below.
