Minecraft 360 to receive update 8 soon, "around 40 fixes at the moment"

Developer 4J has indicated Minecraft Xbox 360's update 8 is coming soon. Amongst the issues targeted is the game's inability to autosave, freezing failures and other minor problems.

"We will hopefully be announcing the fix list next week - looking like around 40 fixes at the moment," 4J tweeted on Friday.

Many players have been dealing with minor annoyances when playing the game on Microsoft's console. Setting your online status to Away ensures autosaves aren't going to work. Guest players can't fire arrows when building rights have been removed, and freezing continues to cripple an otherwise smooth experience.

As reported by OXM, the developer is also working on extra goodies. "Skin Pack 4 is in progress, but a pack of community requested skins sounds like a good idea after that," the company told a follower. Suggestions of Gearbox and Ubisoft-themed skins also cropped up.

For now, a handful of problems should be resolved within the next couple of weeks.
