EDGE announce key roles for new editors

Future has today announced the appointment of Neil Long as Editor of EDGE Online and Nathan Brown as Games Editor across the entire brand.

Long moved to Future in 2008 after leaving his post as editor of MCV. He has worked as Editor-in-Chief of the publisher's Nintendo Group, alongside his role as Special Projects Editor, which oversaw the successful release of digital magazine iGamer in May 2012.

Brown began working on EDGE as a freelance News Writer in December 2010. He moved into the role of EDGE Online's Editor in May last year.

The restructure comes alongside Future's announcement that EDGE Online has seen a 24% traffic increase year-on-year, earning the site 324,000 unique users in December 2012.

Best of luck to those involved.
