PlayStation Network users in North America can now use PayPal to fund their wallets online through Sony Entertainment Network. Already available in Europe, the option is only available online at the moment, and not through PS3. All you have to do is log into the website, click “add funds to wallet” through the account management screen, and go from there. Go check it out. Via IGN, PSN Stores.

Well isn’t that something all that downtime the store had to make alternative payment methods for people who didn’t like having their CC info up on the store. Go figure

Obviously the hack last year was a massive conspiracy, the clever folks at Tokyo headquarters used that time to work hard on alternative payment methods. They only just completed that massive task during the latest downtime.

It doesn’t matter, I was merely talking about endless possibilities these so called ‘downtimes’ and ‘maintenances’ (which in reality are stealth r&d of course) can accomplish, anything Sony do is only to help their customers get even more for even lesser price.
