Monster Hunter 4 to have simultaneous release on 3DS, Vita - Capcom debunks rumor

Japanese magazine GameLab posted a rumor that Monster Hunter 4 was delayed from March 2013 into summer so that development on a Vita version could be started. Capcom, has responded to the claim, and you may wish to grab a tissue just in case the news pleased your inner monster slayer.

According to the translation posted on Operation Rainfall: “Whilst originally it was said that the delay of MH4 was due to wanting to make a better quality game and graphics, the real reason appears to be that it may be released on the PS Vita to increase sales.”

The magazine claimed the delay was to ensure a simultaneous release on both platforms.

Capcom SVP Christian Svensson took to Capcom Unity to refute the claim, by stating the following:

"I would not believe everything you read on the internet. It will set you up for disappointment or misdirected frustration."

See, needed that tissue after all, didn't you?

Monster Hunter 4 was playable the Tokyo Game Show floor back in September 2012.
