Killer is Dead debut trailer evokes Killer7, No More Heroes vibe

Killer is Dead, the latest game from Grasshopper Manufacture, looks to play the team's strengths and experience in this gorgeous, violent and perhaps uncomfortably sexy trailer.

Killer7 and No More Heroes players will pick up on some fairly obvious Grasshopper Manufacture mainstays, but there's a fair bit of Shadows of the Damned in our dashing hero, and the action has a bit of a Lollipop Chainsaw feel, too.

There's no denying Goichi Suda's games walk a troublesome line between exploitation and satire, but it's very, very hard to say no to the luscious art style depicted here.

Killer is Dead was announced in April 2012, and detailed in this week's Famitsu. It's expected in Japan during northern summer, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but hasn't attracted a western publisher yet.
