Persona 4 Arena appears to be nearing a European release
An update by Zen United on the Persona Europe Facebook page has suggested a Persona 4 Arena European release is nearing.

The company confirmed it has received the PlayStation 3 European version of the game, and is avidly awaiting the Xbox 360 equivalent. Once both have arrived, it seems we’ll get details on Persona 4′s long-awaited appearance.
“At this stage, we’ll be able to estimate a likely release window for you guys – and once it’s been approved by both platform holders, we’ll be able to give you a realistic street date,” commented Zen.
“We will, of course, let you know what stage we are in this process so you can have a clearer idea of when the release date is likely to be.
“Again, thank you for your patience…”
Many fans have been left frustrated with the game’s European delay. Atlus’ decision to region-lock the Japanese version ensured importing the title was a dud idea. With this subtle announcement, hopefully it is finally heading towards European shores.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

Yeah I heard it was the very first PS3 game to get a “region lock”. But what’s the difference between it and Persona 4: Golden?

@1 Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game by the guys who done BlazBlue and Persona 4 Golden is a JRPG.
Do you mean what’s the difference between those two games getting released in Europe? In which case this is being published by Zen United and Persona 4 Golden published by Nippon Ichi software.
Or do you mean why did P4A get region locked and P4:G didn’t. Well that one I’m not to sure, something to do with exchange rates at the time of release I think.

Afaik, Persona 4:Golden / The Golden is just what they’re calling the Vita re-release (cos they’ve enhanced various aspects and added a new character etc).
I just couldn’t wait so I imported from the US and am totally in love with it!
EDIT: What a spaz… I totally missed the ‘Arena’ part of this article. THAT’S how in love I am with P4G ; p

Arena is a beat-em-up/fighting game and a PS3 game. Golden is a JRPG for the vita.

So any word on the extra’s they promised to make up for this catastrophic fail? Because i have lost any interest in this game in the meantime since the online part will be DOA and i dont feel like paying full price for a game the americans can can fish out of the bargain bin by now.
