Nintendo will attend the 2013 Sundance Film Festival
Have Nintendo lost the plot? The company will be attending this year’s Sundance Film Festival with a number of events based around the Wii U.

On January 17, Ninty will hold a Wii U Video Challenge event to premiere three short films for the newly released console. YouTube users were asked to shoot mini-clips focusing on unique aspects of the Wii U’s gameplay. A selection of 12 filmmakers were chose, divided into teams of four, and told to come up with a video from Jan 11-13. Each will debut on Wednesday, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
If that isn’t enough, Nintendo will also open the Nintendo Lounge up on January 18. Here, players can try out a selection of unreleased games, including the likes of Rayman Legends and Wii Fit U.
Thanks, GameInformer.

They need every bit of publicity they need. Not a bad move I guess. Although if it will pay off is anybody’s guess.
