Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer is Dead is featured in the latest edition of Famitsu. Announced as being in development last year, the game that takes place in a future where the Moon is a vacation destination and the main character’s arm is your main weapon.

According to the magazine, the main character Mondo Zappa has been recruited by a government agency called The Execution Office. Upon accepting the position, Mondo travels around the world offing assassins of various levels.

Mondo’s weapons will be swords, and there are some acrobatic movements at play with battles, according to the article. Also, his left arm has been modified – something he doesn’t remember doing – in order to turn into a gun, a drill, or other weapon. It can also be upgraded as the game progresses.

He can also absorb his enemy’s blood to build his Adrenalin Burst attack which will allow him to decapitate enemies. He can also use the Burst to transform people into dark matter, as its included in the blood, it can also be turned into energy.

Other characters will appear in the game, and Gematsu has the list. You also check out more on the game through Polygon.

Killer is Dead is slated for a summer release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The artwork above reminds me of Killer 7. I hope it’s a sequel of sorts to that game…
