Pac-Man Championship Edition DX munching its way towards Windows 8

Namco Bandai today announced the release of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX on Windows 8 and Windows RT operating machines.

The original title was released in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3, where it enjoyed critical success averaging out at Metacritic scores of 93% and 91% respectively.

Players can expect to chomp their way through a host of challenging and highly colourful mazes, each littered with the traditional fruit and pellets. Letting the ghosts get too close will once again kickstart a slow-down effect.

This can be snapped up for $9.99 in the United States and €8.49 in Europe via the Windows Store.

Getting a ghost-chain, literally rattling the screen with colour and sound…

Felt so good.

Nice that Windows 8 is getting some quality distractions.

Best Pac-Man ever released.

Pretty much the ultimate Pac-Man.
