Is Ubisoft bringing forgotten shooter Killing Day back to life?
A trademark has been filed by Ubisoft and is currently going through processing for the title Killing Day.
It’s not clear whether this trademark registration is for the 2005 announced Killing Day but PlayStation LIfeStyle, courtesy of N4G, seem to think it’s a pretty good indication.
The game was originally announced in 2005 for PS3 and Xbox 360, with a trailer available to watch below. While at the time the graphics and destructible environment may have been impressive, it will have to step up considerably with nextgen consoles looming, which it is most likely slated to release on.

I used to think this looked jaw dropping!
Amazing how far we have come visually!

Weird, I did a bit of research into cancelled games last week and watched the trailer for Killing Day, Eyedentify and a few others. This looked decent for its time and I personally believe Sonys Eight Days will make a comeback for Orbis (it was classified as on hold rather than cancelled)

Something feels all wrong with the guns. And the main character’s grin.
On the other hand, there are still things that looks pretty nice here. I think it’s got potential, even for 2013.

@2: Eight Days is definitely cancelled. More chance of seeing The Getaway 3!

I thought this game looked really cool when it was announced, love to see it actually make it to release.
