Canned Crash Bandicoot DS game footage surfaces – report

A video has turned up showing what is purported to be Crash Landed, a DS title apparently in the works at Renegade Kid in 2008 and 2009 before being shelved.

Nintendo World Report was directed to the footage by a source “close to Activision”.

The details given suggest Crash Landed would have been in development alongside Radical Entertainment’s home console sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant, which was also shelved. No Crash Bandicoot games have appeared in the interim, although a redesigned Crash was spotted recently.

Renegade Kid went on to make the platformer Mutant Mudds; you can trace the DNA if you squint a bit.
