Tiger Woods 14 adds Ladies PGA mode for first time

Tiger Woods 14 publishers EA Sports has confirmed that its next golfing sim launches March 28th on PS3 and Xbox 360 – we posted an announcement and debut screens here. It also includes the Ladies PGA for the first time in the franchise’s history.

Eurogamer reports that the Ladies PGA will get its own mode, and will see players tackling a series of ladies-only tournaments across a full career mode.

It’s a win for the gender and equality-focused EA, and it comes after the company waxed lyrical about the LGBT issues at length back in October. The publisher came under fire from some pressure groups who bemoaned its approach to approving same-sex relationships in BioWare’s titles.

It may be a long time coming, but the Ladies PGA is here. What are your thoughts?

EA waxed lyrical about equality issues, yes… so when can we expect to see female footballers getting the respect they deserve and featured in the next FIFA instalments?

@1 It’s a valid point certainly. Maybe this is the start of a turnaround on the matter?

@Dave – One hopes so. It’s something that I gave FIFA a proper bollocking for in my open letter to them for not at least encouraging EA Sports to do.

@3 Good for you sincerely, it definitely needs to be done if EA is to tow its equality line and have it be taken seriously.

@4 the way the industry’s going probably.
