Planetside 2’s January patch will contain enhancements to earning XP, according to SOE creative director Matt Higby.
Posting the information on Planetside Universe, Higby stated that kills in the game will be worth more XP, and players which are newly spawned “will be worth a fraction of the current kill reward.” In other words, it will still pay in XP to target a playing coming back from the dead, just not as much.
Partial XP will also be rewarded for damaging vehicles even if they aren’t destroyed completely in the end.
Server transfer tokens will be made available in the store, each empire will receive a new SMG weapon, colors will be able to be configured on the minimap. UI changes to emphasize score per minute as a primary metric of player comparison will be added, and columns on outfit management will be able to be sorted, and the addition of “last online” column is being added as well.
