Minecraft Xbox 360 update 8 detailed by 4J Studios

Minecraft Xbox 360 is doing very well - 5 million people have bought it - so by rights developer 4J Studios could just pack up shop and retire, but the intrepid team are keeping the update train rolling with update 8. The team has shed light on its contents via Twitter.

The 4J Studios feed has responded to fans asking about title update 8, and the first notable response is a bug fix that addresses sleeping issues. Players found that they were being spammed by a message that explained their character couldn't sleep as monsters were nearby, even if they weren't. So that will be fixed in update 8.

Elsewhere, Glowstone Dust has been found to be too rare, so Blazes will drop piles of it once update 8 arrives. Every Minecraft game world will play home to a Nether Fortress once the update lands, and more.

4J even discussed its plans post-update 8, such as adding in Iron Golems, The End portal and Spawn Eggs. Texture packs are also incoming. Can you dig it?
