EA and Monster reveal carbon gaming headset at CES

EA and Monster – the same wizards who created the Beats Audio line of headphones – are taking on Turtle Beach and Triton at their own game, by releasing a set of flashy, rather expensive headphones bearing the EA Sports insignia. The kit is due to be release Stateside in February, and has just been unveiled at CES.

A press release handed to BusinessWire prices up the ‘MVP Carbon’ headset at $269.95, which comes with 5.1 surround sound and is compatible with PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and Wii U formats.

The headset will come in both white and black flavours and will be available at select retailers and via the official Monster site from February. No word of a European release has been given yet.

Thanks Polygon.

Looks like something what sports commentators wear… or an EA helpline executive.

“The kit is due to be release Stateside in February”

“No word of a Western release has been given yet”
