Super Crate Box team offers free strategy game Techno King

Vlambeer, the developer behind Super Crate Box and Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, has released a new game - and for free.

Techno King, available on PC or Mac, has players attempting to destroy Neo Tokyo in the titular mech before an enemy army can do it.

Vlambeer told IndieGames.com that this silly premise is a nod to Erath Defence Force, which is fairly permissive as regards destruction of the cities under attack.

It does have a serious note, though - destroying your targets means there's less cover to stave off enemy attacks, turning the top-down shooter into a strategic affair.

Vlambeer also made Dinosaur Zookeeper which is pretty much the best ever, just sayin'.
