EPIX subscription entertainment network announced for PS3, Vita

Sony has announced EPIX, the subscription entertainment network, will be made available on PS3 and Vita. The service boasts over 3,000 new release and classic feature films, as well as "concerts, comedy specials, sports, and other original programming." The service is currently available to cable, satellite, and telco TV users online, and via other devices and will be a free, downloadable app in the US when it lands on PS3 during Q1 2013 and on Vita in the spring. Current EPIX subscribers or other interested parties should head over to the PS Blog for more information.
