Deadly Premonition boss teases "surprising and amazing news"

Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro, director of the cult-favourite horror effort Deadly Premonition, has promised fans of his have something to look forward to in 2013.

According to Siliconera's translation of a New Year's post on Swery's blog, the creative has something in the pipeline for reveal this year.

"And to all my fans, who keep giving me their never-ending support, I think I’ll have some surprising and amazing news for you next year," he said.

The reference to a surprise suggests Swery means something other than Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, a PlayStation 3 re-release of the former Xbox 360 exclusive, which releases in March with upgraded visuals, improved controls, and additional content.

Suehiro is also behind Lord of Arcana and followup Lord of Apocalypse as well as PSOne Classic Tomba 2, PS2 era releases Extermination and Spy Fiction, and Ace Combat: Joint Assault; he doesn't exactly allow himself to be typecast.
