Capcom not keen on "late ports" to Wii U

Resident Evil 6, Street Fighter IV and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 are unlikely to appear on the Wii U, with Capcom expressing doubts about re-releasing games post-launch window.

The sentiment comes courtesy of Capcom USA's sernior vice president Chrisian Svensson, writing on the Capcom Unity forum.

"With regard to WiiU, in general we're looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table," he said.

The comment came in response to a thread asking whether Resident Evil 6 and Lost Planet 3 would make it to Wii U; the latter is expected on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.

Capcom has not announced any further Wii U releases since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, a March release. It's even passing over the system for DmC, which hits other HD consoles in February, although arguable rival Bayonetta 2 will be a Wii U exclusive.
