RAGE: Scorchers DLC detailed,contains six new areas 

Bethesda has dropped more details on the Scorchers DLC arriving next week for id Software's shooter, RAGE.

Players will be returning to the Wasteland for a new adventure encompassing six all-new areas, where you will fight alongside new allies to "defend the Hager Settlment from a maniacal bandit clan known as The Scorchers."

You'll also be participating in a new season of Mutant Bash TV, come into contact with new mini-games, and will be handed a Nailgun. That should come in pretty handy should you need to re-shingle your roof, but we hear they make rather interesting weapons too.

Also, as previously reported, the DLC contains the new Ultra-Nightmare mode, as well as an Extended Play option in which you can play past the original ending of the game. This will give item collectors and achievement nuts the opportunity to finish collecting many, many goodies.

The Scorchers DLC for RAGE will run you $4.99/400 MS Points when it arrives on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next week.
