Metal Gear Solid reveal coming in next week’s Famitsu

Metal Gear Solid is to get some form of reveal in next week’s Famitsu, the Japanese magazine has been teasing. It had better not just be Kojima trolling us.

As you may be aware, a suspiciously Metal Gear-flavoured trailer for something called The Phantom Pain emerged from the VGAs over the weekend. If you missed it, you can watch it here:

The Phantom Pain announced, Metal Gear 5 suspected.

I also analysed the living hell out of the clip over at our Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes rumour and fact thread here:

MGS Ground Zeroes all access: every rumour & fact here.

Now Famitsu has been teasing a Metal Gear Solid reveal following this announcement. This week’s edition of the mag teased, “Something surprising for Metal Gear Solid fans” for next week.

That’s it. Now we play the waiting game.

Thanks CVG and Gematsu.

i’m a big fan of mgs and i can’t sleep at night because of that very intriguing phantom pain trailer. i can’t wait for famitsu’s reveal. i think the phantom pain is related to ground zeroes though cuz it’s not kojima’s style to announce 2 core MGS in one year and i don’t want to expect that it’s MGS5 already but if this is the case, that kojima is making 2 MGS, 1 for current gen and 1 for next gen i assume then that would be freakin awesome.

I wish if this is a Vita game , i thought kojima loved the vita , but why he is not supporting it ?..this or e3 will be his chance to prove it …

As far as I know, one fox engine game is planned for vita. Depending on vitas success next year, I think we would hear more about it.
This will most probably be a “PP” reveal as any platform exclusive one would have been published in famitsu ps magazine, not in weekly famitsu.
