QUAKE 2 turns 15, id Software shares fun facts on the shooter

QUAKE 2 is celebrating its 15th anniversary today, and to mark the occasion, is Software's Tim Willits decided to share some fun facts regarding the game and its development.

According to the lovely bullet list posted on the Bethesda Blog: only three people worked on the 2D and 3D art in the game; Willits' favorite deathmatch level in the game is The Edge; and the title of the game was almost WOR.

Willits said the game's "fast-paced, tactile feel felt closer to a QUAKE game than a new franchise," so it was dubbed QUAKE 2 instead.

Interesting stuff. Hit up the link for more.
