Far Cry 3 patch allowing users to toggle most HUD/UI elements in the works

Ubisoft has said it is working on a Far Cry 3 patch which will give players the option to toggle most HUD/UI elements based on player preference.

According to a representative speaking with Kotaku, the upcoming patch was something taken into consideration after the firm received lots of player feedback on the matter.

"Based on feedback from both press and fans, the Far Cry 3 production team is working on a patch that will allow you to toggle most HUD/UI elements based on player preference," the statement reads. "The patch will also avoid issues encountered in the .dll hack that might create a mission walkthrough break (missing QTE prompts, critical information, etc;).

"More news will be coming on the patch shortly."

Polygon followed up with a Ubisoft representative who said the patch would "definitely be available on PC," but isn't "sure about console [versions] yet."

The latest patch fixed some stability issues and balanced matchmaking, among other things.
