Ni No Kuni mocap had to be touched up to look more like animation

A behind the scenes video for Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch discusses how the developer attained such an authentic graphical style.

Part way through the developer diary, Level-5 reveals it had animators go over motion capture to make it look less like human motion and more like the cartoons Studio Ghibli is famous for.

The rest of the video is quite interesting, giving a good look at the company behind Professor Layton, Guild01, and many other critically-favoured titles.

Ni No Kuni arrives in Europe and the US in January, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
