Rice Digital: West's first Japanese indie game portal opens

Rice Digital is the West's first games portal dedicated entirely to the Japanese indie scene. It is now open for business with eight titles available to buy at launch. Check out what's on offer below.

Set up in partnership with BlazBlue's European publisher Zen-United, Rice Digital hopes to champion and offer the best of Japan's PC indie scene - that of course doesn't involve porno games and the like.

It has launched with eight titles on offer and will grow its catalogue with localised and pure, un-localised games from this point on.

The games include Ether Vapor, an arcade space shooter that switches between 2D and 3D perspectives, and colourful platformer Eryi's Action.

So if you're a fan of Japanese games without the ludicrous import costs, check out what they're offering, and if you do, let us know what you think below.
