League of Legends lifetime ban handed to pro player

Riot has proved again just how serious it is about improving the notoriously toxic player culture of League of Legends.

IWillDominate, a member of professional level group Team Dignitas, has been issued a lifetime ban on all known accounts following his ninth trial by the MOBA’s Tribunal.

In a forum post, Riot said IWillDominate’s harassment score has risen by more than 30% since August despite repeated warnings and punishments.

The developer noted that “the decision to impact someone’s career is not one we make lightly” but that “pros have an additional opportunity to act as positive role models for the entire community”.

Thanks, Polygon.

Good, if he was constantly being abusive and harassing other players he deserves every part of that ban! He should of learned his lesson the first 8 times.

@3: I think it’s just competitive games, period. It’s why I’ve preferred to play horde mode in things rather than PvP. For some reason, PvP invariably makes dicks out of people. And you get a little tired of the racist, homophobic nonsense after a while.
