Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 bundle, demo announced for Japan

This is the worst day to inhabit countries other than Japan. Konami has made two delightful announcements regarding the balls-out awesome Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and neither of them apply to anywhere else.

Gematsu has word of a special edition PlayStation console called the Zan Datsu. The custom-designed 250GB Super Slim console comes in a ¥31,960 bundle with a specially painted DualShock, copy of Revengeance, and download codes for PlayStation 3 theme and Cyborg Ninja skin.

Meanwhile, Siliconera reports a demo will arrive on the PlayStation Network on December 13. The demo is the same one as was bundled with the Zone of the Enders HD Collection, which has been doing the rounds with press. No word on when the demo will launch outside Japan; expect an update soon, and in the meantime, try to remember the password to your Japanese PSN ID.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengance is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the west in February. Check out a new gameplay video below.
