Yakuza 5 demo gamplay footage surfaces, shows Virtua Fighter arcade play

Yakuza 5 has received a PS3 demo in Japan, and with it comes the inevitable torrent of gameplay footage on YouTube. User ElgarFirst has posted up some captured gameplay, which shows off city exploration, shopping, combat and amazingly, Virtua Fighter.

So this is that new engine? I must say it really doesn’t look much better and it seems to have the same kind of animations too.

Don’t care what engine this is using, more Yakuza can never be a bad thing.

I just fear this will not be localized, due to Sega’s financial problems.

Yakuza maybe the only game now where sega doesn’t cut any corners. What amazes me is that how games like yakuza and tales of xillia make loads of profit without selling millions. I know they are developed for just a single platform but still, making profit on a AAA game for less than a million is unheard of in the west, and mind you, japan is a much more costly country.
