Wii U's TVii service confirmed Japan

Hot on the heels of the European announce, Nintendo Japan has confirmed that TVii is heading to the Wii U's homeland. The service will launch alongside the console on December 8 thanks to a partnership with G Guide. TVii is also expected to launch in the US and Canada in December, while Europeans are awaiting further details of a 2013 launch.
