Darkstalkers Resurrection features replay and tournament modes

More details regarding DarkStalkers Resurrection have been revealed.

According to Siliconera, Darkstalkers Resurrection has a number of tools which will be of use to beginners and veterans alike, starting with a tutorial mode for learning the 2D fighter's system - or just brushing up on a new character.

Having finished a match, you can view a replay of the action, with pause, fast forward and rewind controls so you can figure out just what went wrong - or relive your glory, natch. Replays can be uploaded to YouTube if you encounter soemthing particularly interesting - or, again, just want to gloat.

There's also an online tournament mode, which supports up to eight players, and allows players waiting their turn to kibitz via spectator mode.

Finally, there's a neat little feature for old school fans - alternate camera which make it look like you're plating on an arcade cabinet.

Darkstalkers Resurrection arrives on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on February 7 in Japan; it has not been dated for the west beyond early 2013. It was announced at New York Comic Con.
