Wii U gains Amazon Instant Video app

Amazon instant Video has arrived on the Wii U; the free app can be found on the Home screen or on the eShop. The service offers 140,000 movies and TV episodes available to purchase or rent as well as 30,000 free items for Amazon Prime subscribers. The Game Pad supports both navigation and playback; get on board here.

Nintendo wasn't kidding about quickly ramping up the Wii U's US video service. Although we don't yet have the promised TVii suite, the console launched with Netflix (now with less broken password support) and YouTube, and has already added Hulu Plus.
