Scribblenauts Unlimited Europe release date pushed back

Scribblenauts Unlimited will not release in Europe until 2013, 5th Cell has confirmed.

The developer broke the surprise news in response to a question on Twitter; no official announcement has been made by publisher Warner Bros.

The puzzler had been expected at the end of the month, hitting 3DS, PC and Wii U in time with the latter console's launch.

The delay has not been explained; localisation seems a prime contender but the US version contains multiple laniguaes, and 5th Cell boss Jeremiah Slaczka denied this theory on NeoGAF.

"It's due to stuff I can't talk about until 2013," he said.

"Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts were released NA and EU the same day. Trust me. I want your money. It's due to things outside of development."

Warner Bros. has nothing to say beyond a statement given to Rock Paper Shotgun that "details about the European distribution of Scribblenauts Unlimited are coming soon".

An Australian representative told VG247 that Scribblenauts Unlimited will arrive as planned on all three platforms in Australia on November 28, despite its absence from the local Steam storefront.

Thanks, CVG.
