Space Harrier 3D heading to Nintendo 3DS, first pics here

Space Harrier 3D for Nintendo 3DS has been outed by a Japanese game site. The game reportedly marks the beginning of a big retro push on 3DS from developer Sega. Get more details and screens below.

The game was feature by Japanese site Gamer and it appears to be a port of the original arcade version, rather than the Mega Drive/Genesis build.

Translated by NeoGAF member Hobby, the article states that Space Harrier 3D will launch on the 3DS eShop rather than at retail, will be widescreen, and has yet to be dated. Sega allegedly has plans to use Space Harrier 3D to launch a new wave of retro classics on Nintendo's handheld, following its mild run of Master System releases.
