Wii U Premium owners will have to spend £62.50 to get the £5 eShop voucher

Wii U Premium owners will have to spend £62.50 on the eShop in order to receive the £5 voucher kickback on future purchases.

According to Nintendo UK, per Eurogamer, for every pound spent on purchases in the eShop, users will earn 8 points. It takes 500 points in order to nab the £5 discount code, which means customers will have to spend £62.50/€62.50 to accumulate the points.

It was first announced that the scheme would provide a 10% discount for Premium owners.

However, there's a plus side to having the Premium consoles as owners are automatically enrolled in the Nintendo Network Premium loyalty program, and it comes with 8GB of space compared to the Basic's 3GB.

Wii U launches in Europe on November 30.
