Double Fine wants you to vote on its next game

Tim Schafer being gut punched is probably the least unexpected thing to happen in this video introducing Double Fine's Amnesia Fortnight project, which asks you to help choose what the developer works on next.

Amnesia Fortnight is a tradition at Double Fine, allowing the team a break from commercial endeavours to prototype ideas; Costume Quest, Stacking, Once Upon A Monster and Iron Brigade were all developed following a debut as Amnesia Fortnight projects.

This year, Double Fine wants its fans to get involved. The event kicks off thanks to a partnership with the Humble Bundle, through which you'll be able to donate a minimum of $1 to the company, earning the right to vote on which pitches are prototyped.

Over the next two weeks, the Double Fine teams will compete to finish the selected prototypes, according to PC Gamer. Their progress will be live streamed; there will be regular documentary videos; and eventually, contributors will be able to download the prototypes, as well as some bonuses like existing prototype games.

Participants will be able to vote on which completed prototype is best, but Double Fine does not commit to developing any of the games it prototypes. To see all the pitches and get on board, visit the Humble Bundle Amnesia Fortnight hub, and check out an explanatory video below.
