UFC Undisputed 3 tattoo provokes lawsuit

A tattoo artist has filed suit against THQ over the appearance of his work in UFC Undisputed 3. Elite Tattoo owner Chris Escobedo claims artist’s rights over Carlos Condit’s lion tattoo, which was recreated in-game without license. Polygon notes the case is not unique, as the appearance of tattoo artwork in unlicensed media has been siccessfully challenged in the past.

I don’t think it’s right to claim ownership to artwork that you have sold. I don’t see lawsuits going on from people taking photos from galleries & museums.
