This game is only $40 at launch in Canada. $20 less than most.

Yay! Sounds like this game is as good as I could have hoped for. This really is the new Mario Kart. Mario Kart had gotten stale long ago, and they never really did much to try to freshen up the formula. A new contender has been required for quite a while. And this is the best contender we could have hoped for.

That I’m far more of a SEGA fan than a Nintendo fan, and that this is coming out for the PC, is just the icing on the cake.

I will be playing mine as soon as I get my WiiU. I think it will hold me till Mario Kart WiiU gets announced.

How does this compare to F1 Allstars? Anyone played that? A kart game featuring all the Formula 1 racers will have a lot or appeal.

There is a lot of DLC with the F1 game. Most of it is, I think, cosmetic. I have played the xb demo of F1, it was decent, if a little flat.

But I really enjoy what I have played from Sonic ASRT. And I really enjoy the price. Like Mr. Bambo said, Sonic is 40usd, F1 costs 60. I have my WiiU copy of Sonic in the house right now, just waiting till tomorrow evening to get my WiiU. I can give a more indepth report after a few hours sitting down with the game.

If not for WiiU(new system glow), and the fact that Sonic is A: on WiiU and B: on the cheap, I would prolly buy LBPK instead. The track editor in that game is killer, the gameplay is a bit … floaty(sort of in that LBP sort of way). I think LBPK has a great deal of replay value.
