Splinter Cell: Blacklist footage gets closer than ever

"We know you've been hungry for new Splinter Cell: Blacklist gameplay footage, and we're going to be giving you plenty," Ubisoft promises in this new trailer, before delivering approximately 30 seconds.

But that's a bit unfair; this trailer is the first of a series set to continue over the next few weeks, which will apparently show off a lot of classic gameplay series fans should feel more comfortable with than the action-oriented E3 demo or Fifth Freedom trailer, the last significant gameplay footage released - although Ghost Style's worth a look.

Not before time, too; Splinter Cell: Blacklist is due in northern spring 2013, on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as a likely appearance on Wii U.
