Black Ops 2 sold over 1 million copies at midnight launch, says GameStop president

Black Ops 2 sold over 1 million copies during its midnight launch at GameStop alone, the retailer's president Tony Bartel told Bloomberg via email. Analyst Michael Olson, according to Gamespot, has estimated the game sold between 6.5 million and 7.2 million units day-one sales, which would rival Modern Warfare 3's day-one 6.5 million units last year. The Infinity Ward developed title generated $775 million in revenue its first five days on the market, eventually hitting $1 billion in 16 days of availability.
