Fuse screens bring a little colour to sci fi shooting

Fuse’s transformation to a more realistic art style disappointed those excited for the game formerly known as Overstrike, but despite the switch it’s still looking pretty tasty in these screens.

The orange element you see so much of there is the titular fuse – an alien element capable of extraordinary effects. It lies at the heart of each of the four experimental weapons are heroes find – and snaffle – during their mission, which later form the basis of the squad co-op action.

You may have seen some of these screenshots in magazines recently; they’ve turned up online thanks to All Games Beta.

Fuse is expected on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2013.

I’d like to get Overstrike back.

A random splash of orange isn’t fooling anyone. Dull grey game is still dull and grey.

    I’d also like Overstrike back.

I’d also like to get Overstrike back – this is like Borderlands in reverse – but the sad fact of the matter is that they’ve increased their sales potential dramatically by going for a less cartoony, more realistic art style.
